"Last summer, I found myself planning a women's gathering that was part bridal shower, part family reunion and part reception to welcome a visiting guest from Germany. With attendees from 17-87, I was not sure what to do that would include everyone. Then, as luck would have it, I met Tina at the Zionsville Farmers Market, and I realized that an in-home tea party would be perfect! .... |
...And that is how it turned out! Tina brought delicious food and teas, but the best part was her explanations of each course and her descriptions of the whole process and culture of taking tea. It provided a wonderful opportunity for all of us to slow down, talk and get to know one another. I expected trays of good food and pots of hot tea; what I got was a relaxing, entertaining and educational experience that brought me and my guests closer together."
50th Birthday Party
Hi Tina, I really enjoyed the tea party. It is really a great time to spend with friends and to relax and be treated like you are special. I really appreciated the fact that this is an authentic English tea party where we enjoyed food the same way they do in England. It was great to hear about the cultural differences like driving on the other side of the road and how the steering wheel is on the right side of the car. That is very interesting to think about.
